you all still know the vizualisation kits in media players like xmms or winamp? this one whose link i just remembered is a bit different. it’s the result of multiple computers (60.000) all calculating on beautiful animations. users are deciding which stuff they like and so a genetic algorithm is generating the video. cool idea isn’t it? you can watch some movies here: www.hifidreams.com.

by the way, the name comes from one of the best books of philip k. dick: “do androids dream of electric sheep?”; perhaps better known film adaption “blade runner”.

just viewed a concert of kleingeldprinzessin, great german indipendent song writer girl from berlin. i can only suggest everyone out there to go, when she comes along in your city. the radio (deutschlandfunk & mdr figaro) was also there and they will broadcast the concert on 10th october 21h05 (deutschlandfunk) or 5th october 19h30 (mdr figaro). they’ll send it online; but i don’t know wheather in podcast or not.
