here you can vote for a better alternative radio in saxony. they try to get the MDR (local state broadcasting service here) to introduce a radio like sputnik (also mdr, but in another state), radio Fritz (berlin) or fm4 (austria). i personally would favour something like Radio1 or FM4, as they sound more grown up than fritz or sputnik, but everything to get some contrast against stupid mdr Jump or radio NRJ is very appreciated.

they are already some small indie channels, but they cannot afford the high rates at GEMA for good music, don’t transmit 24h/7 or can only be listened through internet. examples are colorradio (dresden), SAEK (chemnitz), radio t (chemnitz).

here is a german tutorial how to get your music to the iphone directly from ubuntu. wireless but a bit slow. yeah. The boring restarting can be circumvented through “killall -HUP SpringBoard”, which can be fired through a additional script
